Verdict
MOTIVATIONAL can land this maiden at the main expense of Paradise Dream and Demonstrative. The selection looked a smart prospect on his debut at Leicester when he finished third behind Atacama Crossing over 6f. He looks to have a fair amount of ability and although he will do better over further in time, he does set the standard for the others. Paradise Dream shaped with promise on his debut at Kempton but he then disappointed at York last time. That was over the minimum trip and this extra furlong will have to bring about some improvement if he is to feature at the finish. Demonstrative is an interesting newcomer from the Mark Johnston yard and a market check is advised; a comment that would also apply for Richard Fahey's newcomer Ballodair. However, Motivational sets a fair benchmark for the others and gets the vote.
