Verdict
BERRIEDALE is taken to follow up on his recent Beverley success at the expense of Darley Sun and Kochanski. The selection has the burden of being raised twelve pounds by the handicapper for breaking his maiden tag last time out but he is still only lightly raced and has improved with every run so far. This does not look the most competitive of races and if he can recapture his recent form he will be difficult to beat. Darley Sun broke his maiden tag when gaining success at Nottingham on his penultimate outing and he was not discredited when running off a six pound higher mark at Sandown last time out. He is another horse that is improving but he will find life tough with top weight to carry. Kochanski on the other hand could be potentially well treated running off a mark of just 56. He has run some solid races this spring without winning and he comes from a yard in form so any market moves should be noted. Berriedale looks a horse on the upgrade and is the preferred selection.
