RACCOON has been in great form of late and is given the vote to continue in his winnings ways ahead of Spiritofthewest and Mandurah. The selection carries a six pound penalty for winning at Catterick last time out. He was good enough to win off a 10lb higher mark two seasons ago and couldn't be in better spirits of late. If he can reproduce his recent level of form he is sure to go close once again. Spiritofthewest has run well on both his two runs this season. He caught the eye when a close fourth of 11 over course and distance last month and he is sure to be in the shake-up once again. Mandurah went up 10 pounds in the ratings for winning at Thirsk last month and was unable to cope with that hike when finishing nearer last than first at Musselburgh last time out so is best watched for the time-being. Raccoon is the form horse in the race and is worth staying on the right side of.
