Bell's Ocean only won by a short-head when landing a Carlisle seller at the beginning of the month and she is likely to struggle back in a handicap today in a contest taken to go to Brian Baugh's TANFORAN, who is preferred to French Art. Nigel Tinkler's gelding is only 2lbs higher in the weights than when successful at Pontefract in April and he has to be respected having shown signs of a return to form at Windsor last time following three below par runs after that Pontefract victory. Lujano has a lot to find with the selection on running at Haydock in June and of more interest may be Marcus Tregoning's Talayeb, who is surely better than he showed at Redcar last time but he remains a maiden and looks booked for a place at best. Gay Kelleway's Eastern Gift finished just in front of the selection when second and third respectively behind Baltimore Jack at Nottingham at the beginning of the month and he has every chance of confirming that form and going one better today but Tanforan did not get the clearest of runs that day and Brian Baugh's gelding can reverse that running and resume winning ways.
