Verdict

A modest contest that can go to Pure Mischief, who is preferred over Blazing The Trail and Olivia Rose, who stand out as dangers from the rest. The selection is very lightly raced from recent campaigns on the Flat but showed that he has benefited from his trainer's handling when scoring at Newcastle 17 days ago; having been kept fit by a spell over hurdles during the winter. A 4lb rise for that success looks fair in the context of this race and he is very much the one to beat with the ground in his favour. Shredded is one to monitor for signs of support as he hails from a yard that have enjoyed a good spell of late. However, he is far from a leading light in the yard and is one to be wary of on his known form. Therefore, it may be down to Blazing The Trail to provide Pure Mischief with the most to do.
