With Tim Easterby in full flow, Sheriff Garrett should make a bold bid to supplement his recent easy victory at Wolverhampton though he's yet to encounter soft ground and is 7lb higher. Nothing Compares had her first taste of ground with some give at Beverley and ran quite well though she'll probably need a bit more here as OUR CILLA looked a progressive stayer at Lingfield. That was her first start over 1m6f and on soft going and the further they went the better she travelled so a 7lb rise doesn't look enough to prevent a double. Maori Bob has won over 1m2f on Polytrack and, though stepping up markedly in trip, his last two runs have been in much better class. Oxford Blu was expected to improve when stepped up to this sort of trip but hasn't really done so and looks a few pounds high.
