Katebird, the only three-year-old in the line-up, went up 6lb for a comfortable victory in a lower-grade handicap at Beverley and has been unable to cope. Lexington Law has yet to win a race and is only gradually coming down the weights but AZZIR has won twice over the trip, including from today's mark, and though he wouldn't want any more rain he looks the one to be on. Deinonychus stays further than this and is at his best on soft ground, though the small field is unlikely to play to his strengths.
