In depth

Verdict

The handicapper has been very slow to react with MUSICAL BRIDGE but he will have no option but to cut the son of Night Shift loose if he isn't good enough to fend off the likes of Intolerable and Choisharp. The last named made a pleasing handicap debut at Newmarket last time out - picking up nicely when they came towards the dip. He created the impression he is capable of landing a small handicap somewhere along the line. Intolerable is related to a number of winners and, considering he readily took the measure of Sandy Par when they met at headquarters; he is definitely one to seriously consider if the market speaks in his favour. However, Musical Bridge has a valuable edge in terms of experience and, as the booking of Jamie Spencer almost worked the oracle at Bath 16 days ago; the fact the former champion jockey keeps faith with the three-year-old is a solid pointer towards his mount here.
