RAINY NIGHT is going the right way and can give Reg Hollinshead a welcome winner. West Leake is an old foe of the selection and is likely to be on the premises; while Fyelehk and Bold Ring are other previous winners who can play strong roles if they get the breaks in running. Bold Ring won on her penultimate start and is likely to encounter favourable ground conditions. However, she likes to weave her way through the field and as a result often creates her own problems. The filly has also struggled of this sort of mark in the past, so needs everything to go her way. Fyelehk has been consistent on the all-weather courses and fully deserved his success at Kempton in April. Still, the handicapper put him up 8lb rise for that success and, in this slightly higher grade, he faces a very tough assignment on these terms - especially as he also needs to conclusively prove he is effective back on turf. West Leake is holding his form well and, considering he finished just a nose behind Rainy Night when they met here 15 days ago, he has very little to find in a bid to reverse the form. However, Hollinshead's colt is open to a touch more improvement and, as he appears to have a liking for fast ground it's Rainy Night who is taken as the one with the more potent claims today.
