An interesting little chase concludes the card at Newton Abbot and River Trix is taken as a value selection to make the most of a good opportunity at the weights. Vague Idea and Spring Double are obvious dangers, whilst dour stayer The Sawdust Kid should not be underestimated. However River Trix has shown a good level of progression of late and gets on very well with Tom Scudamore. The partnership may just prove to be too resilient for Vague idea today.
