Lissahanelodge has to be considered on his debut in this company, but we will plump for Honan, with Pierre du Lune also expected to go close. The selection put up a dismal display at Startford last time, but had previously finished a close up third to Miss Lewis over a longer trip here. He may have just had an off day at Stratford and is given a chance to atone this afternoon. Pierre du Lune showed plenty of promise in a bumper last time and should have plenty of scope for improvement. Lissahanelodge last ran on the flat at the end of June, finishing in mid division behind Diamond Orchid at Yarmouth. If this one takes to hurdling he could have enough class to take a hand in the finish here. Best of the others should be Tonic du Charmil, also trained by Martin Pipe, however his stable-mate Honan looks to have the stronger claims and gets our vote.
