There are some interesting newcomers here including Abrogate, Olimpo and Two Of Clubs, but we give the verdict to La Calera. This former listed performer on the flat in France, made her hurdling debut at Strasburg last month, running with plenty of promise, finishing just three lengths behind the winner. The experience will be invaluable here and she looks of interest on her British debut. Pat Haslam supplies both Abrogate and Two Of Clubs, the last named comes here after easily landing a Wolverhampton maiden back in March, and could prove better than Abrogate who was only rated in the forties and has shown very little form recently. Another debutante to watch out for is Olimpo who hails from a top yard and had placed form on the flat in France. The market will provide many clues for this event, but at this stage we will have to side with La Calera.
