Very little recent form to go on here, so it is with little confidence that Spectacular Hope is given the verdict, with Lady ward and Le Gris put forward as the main rivals. The selection has been well beaten on her last two outings but did finish a gallant second behind Cherokee Bay at Plumpton back in May. That is possibly the best form on show here and a repeat should be good enough against these rivals. Lady Ward has also disappointed recently but her second to Princess Grec at Hereford four runs back puts her in with a chance today. Le Gris may prove best of the others, as he has at least finished in the frame this season. This is not a race to get too involved in as not one of them is running well at present, but we will take a chance on the aptly named Spectacular Hope.
