    Verdict

Valfonic has picked up a couple of weak handicaps at Southwell and Worcester this term but has not impressed with his hurdling technique and had his limitations exposed last time. Martin Pipe's charge may prove vulnerable off his current mark but Ragdale Hall, a fair performer on the level, has shown plenty of ability in novice events (comfortable Uttoxeter winner last month) and may have more to offer off a potentially lenient mark on his handicap bow. Brooksie will find this tough under a 7lb penalty having had nothing to spare at Worcester last last week.
