In depth

Verdict

Latin Queen sets a reasonable standard here but Auntie Kathleen would not need to be anything out of the ordinary to make a winning rules debut and is taken to do just that, with Seemma rated the pick of the remainder. The selection, a dual winning pointer, is now in the care of Martin Pipe and looks to have been found a suitable starting point for her rules debut under ground conditions that should not inconvenience her. Taunton winner Latin Queen had a recent spin on the level in preparation for her return to hurdling and rates the obvious danger, although she may struggle to concede 7lbs to the selection. Bob's Finesse gave little sign of encouragement on her debut and of more interest is John Spearing's One Wild Night, who showed improved form at Ludlow last time. Seemma also showed improved form last time, at Exeter, and rates a bigger threat than Kentford Lady who has been well held in all four starts in bumpers so far. Auntie Kathleen could be a useful recruit to the novice hurdling ranks though and gets the vote to make a winning rules debut.
