Rare Gold is given another chance to shine, Lindsay has obvious claims, No Complaint and Mylo may also feature. The selection hasn't gone as far as looked likely when he enjoyed a decent first season under Rules over hurdles but there have been signs of late that all is not lost. He finished second over hurdles and was in the process of running a fair race when unseating at Ascot last time. He's got few miles on the clock and is worth chancing in this company. Lindsay won well at Wincanton but in truth had little to beat and was probably better suited by the prevailing soft underfoot conditions than his rivals. He looks worth opposing under his penalty. This trip is a bare minimum for Mylo but he's proved that he can go well fresh and is 6lbs lower than when winning over course and distance in 2006. No Complaint was below par last time but is short-list material on the pick of his form and merits close consideration but we're going to award our vote to Rare Gold.
