The market will help solve the closing race but at this stage we fancy PERTINENT will be too strong for Thirtytwo Red and Charles Street. Our selection wasn't doing much right when last seen under rules but he's been flying in point-to-points of late and hopefully his confidence will have been boosted sufficiently to enable a winning effort here, despite the fact he's got to shoulder a welter burden. Thirtytwo Red ran well in one of these last time and should once again run his race. He's got the assistance of a more than capable pilot and operates at a 33% strike-rate in point-to-point races, so his turn under rules is surely close. Charles Street is a multiple winner over hurdles but hasn't yet shown that he's fully translated his relative ability to the bigger obstacles and he can be taken on for win-only purposes along with Alambique who has won here at Newton Abbot but hasn't been seen under rules since 2007. Beau Supreme is 13-years-old and has surely seen his best days come and go, so we'll return to Pertinent to land the finale.
