SKYE BUT N BEN is thrown in under a penalty and will win if he can repeat the form showed last time; we'll take him to do just that, in the process getting the better of Tar, Laneguy and Haling Park. Jim Best's horse landed a bit of a touch for connections last time and is due to go up another 16lbs in the future. The booking of AP suggests connections mean business in their search for the follow up and it'll be most disappointing if he can't take this under almost identical conditions. Tar didn't run too badly in a seller last time and has been given a chance by the handicapper, with the booking of Richard Johnson again indicating connections aren't without hope. He's a feasible each-way alternative to the favourite alongside the unexposed Haling Park who hasn't shown much but accordingly isn't rated very high and must be afforded a market check. Laneguy brings more solid claims to the table but has plenty of weight on his first try in a handicap. Tom George's gelding ran well in a couple of point-to-point races and should progress but perhaps wants further already. Justabout is another worth a look on his return from a year off having shown a liking for quick ground but this weak race should go to Skye But N Ben.
