A good contest here that lacks in numbers but not in competition between three of them in Mine, Sublimity and Tarjman, and the vote goes to Mine. James Bethell's is nicely weighted on official ratings with Sublimity and can confirm that here. A winner of Ascot's Victoria Cup in May, he returned to the track at the Royal meeting to land the Royal Hunt Cup last month, when today's trip and ground were to his liking. Not as happy on dead ground and with a 3lb rise at Sandown last time, he has conditions to his liking again here and he can make the most of them. Sublimity has suffered since being upped 8lb for taking the Doncaster Mile at the start of the turf season. Three subsequent runs have not seen him return to the frame and though he should do that today, he does look very vulnerable off this mark. Tarjman is another who possesses a deal of ability but who has been disappointing of late. Despite his liking for conditions and receipt of weight from Sublimity, he looks low on confidence and needs a good run to boost that. The selection here then is Mine to blow them away.
