In depth

Verdict

A fairly tight affair with the nod going to Spree Vision over Easibet Dot Net, Donna's Double and Cosmic Case. Easibet Dot Net was a good third to Jimmy Byrne at Haydock last time, although that was on good to soft going. Much as he is better on the all-weather, he has to hold a chance at this level. Donna's Double is undoubtedly well-handicapped on her 2002 form and, much as she has been running indifferently of late, can still be competitive at this level. Spree Vision also has not won for a couple of years but recent runs from around this mark have been fair and he certainly likes it here, having won twice at the track. Cosmic Case also loves it here, being a three-time course and distance winner and he comes here on the back of a Musselburgh win, for which he carries a three-pound penalty. Howards Dream won over course and distance last summer but has shown very little since. Put all of that into the mix and we come down on the side of Spree Vision.
