Simon Pearce already has this title in the bag but Atacama Sunrise still merits consideration although he could have his work cut out to cope with Harriet's Girl and DAY OF THE EAGLE. Preference is for the Cumani runner who finished like a train in a competitive Newbury handicap and is able to line up from the same mark in this contest. He wasn't suited by the slow pace at Newbury and took a while to respond to his rider's urgings whilst he also ran about a fair bit too which has to be a concern in this line-up but he's certainly good enough to win from his current mark. Flapper has proved hard to predict lately but she enters calculations on the pick of her efforts whilst Moon Lightning represents a yard going great guns. Atacama Sunrise has been given a break since a below par run at Chepstow which it may pay to forgive but this looks a shade competitive and of more appeal is In The Mood. She went close on her handicap bow at Salisbury and had little chance last time after fluffing her lines at the start. Harriet's Girl remains on the fair mark and has been in good form lately whilst Wood Fairy may benefit from dropping back in trip but Day Of The Eagle may be able to top the charts.
