Solway Bay has been running consistently well of late and should appreciate the return to a faster surface having not been at his best on softer ground at Aintree recently but the seven-year-old is likely to struggle to give weight away all round and preference is for TARVINI, who gets the verdict ahead of On My Terms. James Lambe's gelding deserves to get his head in front having been placed in four of his last five starts and he should once more be involved at the business end of the race but may be booked for a place at best again. Answer Me could be of interest on his first start for Evan Williams having formerly been with Norma Twomey but he looks plenty high enough in the weights for his handicap debut. Michael Scudamore has his string in fair form and his runner, Command Marshal, has shown improved form of late but a penalty for his win at Fontwell makes this more difficult. Art Gallery disappointed at Catterick last time but earlier form is solid and he has to be respected but preference is for Tarvini. Jonjo O'Neill's gelding showed improved form for being stepped up in trip at Huntingdon when narrowly beaten by Amazing Valour and he can go one better off a 5lb higher mark today.
