Bicoastal showed plenty of promise when chasing home Bahama Mama on her debut here over five furlongs two weeks ago and she has to be respected but Brian Meehan's filly may not represent much in the way of value and a chance is taken on the newcomer Malaaq, who is preferred to another interesting debutant Sander Camillo. The last mentioned has a decent American pedigree and, being trained by Jeremy Noseda, it is highly likely that she will know what is required first time out. Mick Channon's Pivotal filly Alzerra would probably prefer a little bit more cut in the ground, while Richard Hannon's Buddies Girl may be seen to better effect over further. Miss Saafend Plaza, another Hannon representative, cannot be ruled out on her debut but preference is for the Michael Jarvis-trained Malaaq. From the family of the likes of Salsabil and Marju, the selection has an eye-catching pedigree and may well be forward enough to make a winning debut.
