Punters will be looking for pointers for tomorrow's big handicap in this consolation race but the draw shouldn't play too big a part as long as the ground remains on the fast side of good. The unexposed three-year-old Galiando has to go on the short-list, despite having been raised 7lb for last month's Windsor success. Lady Herries' mare Jewelled has had a good season, but so has ARABIAN STAR. Andrew Balding's gelding looks tailor-made for a race like this having already won over this intermediate trip at Yarmouth. Well suited by good to firm ground, he could be the one to beat though Licence To Till is respected having again made the frame over 1m2f at Newbury last week. Capaill Liath, Nelson's Bounty and Dolphin Rock are others to consider on recent form, while Layline is well treated on his all-weather efforts. Viva Vettori and Emerald Wilderness both disappointed last time, however.
