Rakasa finished a head in front of QUESTING when runner-up to Regal Realm in a Group 3 at Goodwood last month, with Nayarra a close-up fourth. But John Gosden's filly didn't have a lot of luck that day having become unbalanced on leaving the stalls. She still made a bold bid to make all and, on faster ground here, can have her revenge and land this nice prize. Albaspina, Alsindi and Minidress all won on their respective debuts and have scope for improvement, but Desert Gazelle and Emirates Art may find this company too hot and Cockney Dancer disappointed last time. Elusive Flame only won a nursery at Doncaster last time but she's on the upgrade and the fourth in that race, Roger Sez, won a Group 3 at Ayr on Saturday. She shouldn't be underestimated.
Alsindi (IRE) 11-2 (9-0) Slowly into stride, settled in rear, headway to chase leaders over 2f out, led over 1f out, ran on strongly, impressive, won at Yarmouth 6f 2yo stks (5) sft in Aug beating Silke Top (9-0) by 3 1/2l, 12 ran.
Cockney Dancer 6-1 (8-1) Dwelt, held up mid-division, ridden 2f out, never dangerous, 15th of 21, 8l behind Reply (9-2) at Doncaster 6f 2yo aut (2) gd.
Desert Gazelle (USA) 4-1 (8-12) Dwelt and hampered start, held up in rear, switched left over 2f out, headway approaching final furlong, kept on near finish, 4th of 9, 10l behind Discourse (8-12) at Newmarket 7f 2yo fll Grp 3 (1) gd in Aug.
Elusive Flame 13-2 (8-13) Held up towards rear, headway over 2f out, ridden to lead narrowly 1f out, hard pressed inside final furlong, just held on, won at Doncaster 6f 2yo fll hcp (2) gd beating Poetic Dancer (8-10) by hd, 13 ran.
Emirates Art 15-2 (8-11) Close up, chased leader over 1f out, ridden to lead near finish, won at Lingfield 7f 2yo nov stk (5) gd in Aug beating Vital Gold (9-5) by hd, 5 ran.

Nayarra (IRE) 5-1 (8-9) Held up in 4th, effort 2f out, soon ridden, kept on under pressure inside final furlong, just failed for 2nd, no chance with winner, 3rd of 6, 5l behind Bronterre (9-0) at Goodwood 7f Listed stks 2yo (1) gs.
Questing 3-1 (9-0) Soon led, strongly challenged from well over 1f out, headed and no extra close home, 3rd of 6, hd behind Regal Realm (9-0) at Goodwood 7f 2yo fll Grp 3 (1) gs in Aug.
Rakasa 11-2 (9-0) Always prominent, every chance entering final furlong, stayed on strongly, just failed, 2nd of 6, shd behind Regal Realm (9-0) at Goodwood 7f 2yo fll Grp 3 (1) gs in Aug.
Villeneuve 4-6fav (8-9) Made virtually all, clear over 1f out, easily, won at Wolverhampton 6f 2yo mdn fll auc stks (6) pol in Aug beating Symphony Time (8-9) by 6l, 6 ran.
Albaspina (IRE) 5-4fav (9-0) Slowly into stride, soon pushed along in 6th, headway on outside over 3f out, led entering final 2f, hung right over 1f out, clear and stayed on strongly inside final furlong, eased close home, won at Carlisle 7f 2yo stks (5) sft beating Aleut (9-0) by 2 3/4l, 10 ran.
