WINKER WATSON stands out as being the class act in this Listed contest and is given the vote ahead of Sonny Red and Balthazaar's Gift. The selection was unbeaten during his two-year-old season last year winning in Group 2 company at both Ascot and Newmarket. He looked out of his depth when finishing fourth to Henrythenavigator in the Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood last month but will fair better against this opposition. If he is able to recapture his best then he will take all the beating. Sonny Red showed some form early in the season finishing second in a Listed race on his seasonal reappearance. Since then he has found life tough and will have to improve to be in the shake up here. Balthazaar's Gift has been highly tried since winning in Listed company at Windsor in June. He was outclassed at the Royal meeting in the Golden Jubilee Stakes but faired better in a Group 3 at Newbury last time out when third to Intrepid Jack, and if showing the same level of form here he is certain to be in the first four.
