    Verdict

Cerulean Rose is on a real roll and this looks another good opportunity for the improving four-year-old while Prime Recreation and Val De Maal rate the main dangers. The selection has proved a revelation this season and was recording a four-timer when scoring over this trip at Bath last time. The Bluegrass Prince filly has taken a further 7lb rise in the handicap but appeared to win with plenty in hand having travelled well before quickening in good style to seal victory so may be capable of defying the assessor once again. Prime Recreation isn't the easiest to predict but returned to something like his best last time and is only 2lb higher compared to a comfortable Kempton success in March so has to be feared with Kieren Fallon in the plate. Val De Maal was a narrow winner of a minor event over six furlongs at Pontefract last time but this pacey sort will have little difficulty with the return to the minimum trip and, along with Tomthevic, will ensure a strong pace which may set the race up for Cerulean Rose, who possesses a useful turn of foot.
