Those with experience have not really caught the imagination as yet and so this could go to the well-touted Musical Lyrics, with Shrink and Prince Tara expected to pose Mark Johnston's newcomer the most problems. The Middleham-based handler has been in flying form with his two-year-olds this season and already boast a strike-rate in excess of 30 percent from just over 100 runners of this type. The daughter of Quiet American has plenty of stamina in her pedigree but would not need to be anything out of the ordinary to hold her rivals at bay here. Shrink was very slowly away on her debut at Chepstow but put in a finishing flourish that would suggest there are races to be won with her and she can be expected to be a lot wiser this time around. Where as Prince Tara, the only previous winner in the field, has plenty to prove on these terms; especially after such a poor run last time. Yorke's Folly is a well-bred sort who is one to monitor in the betting, but it may be prudent to just keep tabs on her this time as her stable have yet to have a winner with a debutante this season. Therefore, the logical choice is to go with Musical Lyrics to lead Shrink home for the forecast.
