This does not appear to be the strongest maiden you will ever see at this course and Take The Gold is taken to score at the main expense of Factotum, Harry Tricker and Horseford Hill. The betting might tell a different story but, being a half-sister to eight winners and being trained by Michael Jarvis, Take The Gold holds some appeal on her debut. Factotum is a half-brother to the top-class Falbrav so he too catches the eye, while Harry Tricker and Horseford Hill were both noted making late headway on their debuts and it would be no surprise to see them get involved in the finish tonight. Of the others, Dar Es Salaam showed promise at Windsor last time - where he was just behind Eastern Emperor - after being bumped early in the contest, Scripted showed some promise at Newmarket on his debut, Nakhab is related to winners, and Henry Cecil's Hannahbecc is one to look at in the betting. Overall, though, we will stick with Take The Gold.
