David Loder has a 23 per cent strike rate with first timers this season and he can enhance that record here with Darko Karim, while Capable Guest and Arc Of Light can also show up well. This should be a nice introduction for the Groom Dancer colt, who will be better over further than this but should nevertheless have enough toe to get the better of his opponents. Reputed to have been pleasing in his work, we take him to score. Capable Guest has the benefit of an outing, when third of 11 at York last week. He ran as though he needed that and was staying on well later on, so he should come on for the run and can be thereabouts. Barry Hills has not had a two-year-old winner in four attempts so far this campaign, but his yard is going well and with Capable Guest also said to be a nice sort he can take home some prize money at the first time of asking, but for the selection we will stick with David Loder's Darko Karim to land the spoils.
