Osolomio is selected ahead of Salute and Bull Market. Osolomio has been quietly campaigned in Northern handicaps during the summer and as a consequence, the assessor has not had the chance to hit him with such hefty rises as he might attract were those successes posted at the more illustrious tracks. Having gleaned a confidence boosting victory at Ripon, a 7lb rise might not be enough to stop him. Salute is entirely capable of winning over the trip although the handicapper has certainly had a say in recent races. Bull Market is related to plenty of stayers and while his initial foray over a longer trip was disappointing, it is entirely possible that he could bounce back to form here. Gee Dee Nen has become disappointing but will benefit from a solid pace. Velvet Heights is not as prolific on turf as he was on the artifical surfaces and will be staying on stoutly at the death. Osolomio could still be capable of further improvement and rates the percentage call.
