Siren's Gift is narrowly preferred to Cape and Bee Eater. Siren's Gift finished fifth at Newmarket over course-and-distance in a competitive handicap and if showing the same level of form, she has to go close. Cape has had plenty of column inches in recent months about an inability to get the head infront at the line. The filly is always anchored at the back before making progress and Michael Hills has been recruited in order to being about a change in fortunes. Bee Eater is not without her quirks but ticks all the boxes in the progressive category. Folga normally comes to hand at this time of year and it wouldn't be a total surprise were she able to bounce back from some mediocre efforts. Blades Girl has a fair shout on some of her better efforts but has plenty to do on recent evidence. China Cherub continues in great heart although she may need a little more rain to be at her most potent. A tough handicap and Siren's Gift is given another chance over today's six furlongs trip.
