Tetouan is taken to turn the tables on Calabash Cove, with Winter Sunrise, Cold Quest and Gold Prospect just a few more in with a shout. This has the makings of quite a competitive affair, but the outcome may rest on a class 4 handicap that took place at Ripon last month, in which Calabash Cove managed to hold on by a neck from Tetouan. The latter was always looking held on the run to the line, but saw the trip out well enough, and on 4lb better terms, has a tremendous chance of reversing the form with that rival. Winter Sunrise opened her account at the first time of asking on rain-softened ground at Sandown at the end of May and is open to lots of improvement. She could be anything in time, but being a daughter of Pivotal, may not be truly at home on the fast ground. Cold Quest was unlucky-in-running when a hot favourite at Kempton last time, and on breeding he will relish the step up in trip, but he does have topweight to overcome. Wolverhampton winner Gold Prospect is back up in trip and needs to find some improvement, and for the winner we return to Tetouan.
