LA ZAMORA, Strictly and White Shift catch the eye here, with La Zamora, unfortunate last time, taken to make amends. White Shift has been underrated by some, and has not finished out of the first two in five starts recently, scoring in a competitive race at Ripon on Wednesday night. She carries a 6lb penalty here and that may just edge her out of it. Strictly lost her maiden tag at Doncaster last time, staying on nicely to beat subsequent winner Lochan Mor. She is likely to start at cramped odds and may not represent value on her handicap debut against some experienced types. La Zamora blitzed her field at Musselburgh, and was well supported to follow up at her local track, Thirsk next time. Denied a clear run at a crucial stage there, she finished to good effect. The winner has run well in defeat since, and La Zamora looks worth siding with here.
