      Verdict

This is normally an informative maiden but only a handful of this year’s runners have Group 1 entries. One of those is Frankie’s mount SURYA, who is by star miler Frankel out of English and Irish Oaks winner Sariska. He has the potential to be top class so gets the vote, though Godolphin have won three of the last four renewals and Charlie Appleby and Saeed bin Suroor both have runners. William Buick rides the former’s Karaginsky, who is a son of Dubawi. William Haggas is another trainer who has a good record in the race so Prabeni is worth a market check being a brother to a 1m4f winner and a half-brother to three others. Dragon Moon sees Ryan Moore teaming up with the Hannon stable and he may be the best of those at bigger odds.
