Verdict

DAME DE COMPAGNIE (NAP) was last in a Grade 2 here in November but should be capable of winning a race at this level judged on her latest second to Point Of Principle at Ascot. She was only denied by the narrowest of margins and the first two pulled well clear. Spice Girl is a likeable mare and she’s back at a more realistic level having run in the Mares’ Novices Hurdle at The Festival last time. Angels Antics was pulled up in that race and Dame Rose suffered a similar fate in the Supreme Novices’. The latter has not built on her defeat of Cap Soleil at Newbury in December. Banjo Girl has more to do than at Fontwell last month but Just A Thought never seems to run a bad race and has place claims again, though she’s still seeking a first win over timber.
