There is very little for backers to go on here with only Elizabeth Garrett of the 12 runners having raced previously and the likelihood is that her fourth in the Brocklesby is not good enough to beat one of the many interesting newcomers of who Frisky Talk is marginally preferred to Top Royelle. The selection is a relatively early foal from a decent family trained by Barry Hills and makes solid claims on pedigree. Ed Dunlop's horses have been in good form of late but his two-year-olds tend to need their first run so Isobel Rose is probably best watched, while another Barry Hills-trained runner Silk Blossom may want a softer surface to show her best form. Mark Johnston's runners have hit to hit form so Happy Love is readily opposed and of more interest may be Fontana Amorosa from the in-form Kevin Ryan stable although she is a relatively late foal and may need more time. Paul Cole can produce a youngster to win first time out so Tarkamara has to be respected along with Richard Hannon's speedily bred Top Royelle, who is an early foal. Frisky Talk has a decent pedigree though and she is taken to make a winning debut.
