This should be a nice swansong for DAR RE MI unless Unsung Heroine spoils the party, whilst the progressive Shreyas may be best of the rest. John Gosden's filly burst on to the scene with a stunning maiden victory in the spring but fell just short of the top bracket although there's little disgrace in having had to play second fiddle to two as good as Lush Lashes and Zarkava. Her latest defeat is a little more disconcerting but the return to racing on her own patch may enable her to reproduce her best. The clear danger is Tommy Stack's Unsung Heroine, who ran a blinder to finish second in the Leger on only her third start. The drop back in trip is no problem and you'd be hard pressed to argue with anyone who prefers to side with the unexposed Irish filly given the amount of progress that she has made in such a short space of time. Under The Rainbow returned to form when making the progressive Crystal Capella work hard in an Ascot Listed race last time but the runner-up didn't appear to be too keen to go past and the Stoute runner makes more appeal. Sail was a long way behind Shreyas at Gowran and Jim Bolger's half-sister to Youmzain and Creachadoir was only beaten half a length by Unsung Heroine on debut. This is her first run beyond 10 furlongs and she may well improve for it but we'll stick with the solid yardstick that is Dar Re Mi.
