A three year old maiden confined to three year olds and it provides the typical puzzle that maidens at this venue usually produce. Alsace Lorraine is selected on the basis of a very pleasing racecourse debut at Nottingham won by the smart Acrostic. Weak in the market, this 480,000 guineas purchase stayed on under hands and heals riding to fill the runner-up spot. The third Moville had shown solid form in maidens previously and gives the form a solid look. Royal Destination should benefit for his Yarmouth debut where he travelled well but was not given a hard time once his chance has gone while Aflaam is a very interesting newcomer, being a half-brother to the 2002 Golden Jubilee winner Malhub. The experienced French Art is now beginning to look exposed while Jeremy Noseda's second runner Blow Hole raced very green first time out and can be expected to have learned quite an amount for the experience but Alsace Lorraine is the vote to land it.
