Hoh Mike is likely to start a short priced favourite to land this conditions stakes and while there is no doubting his class in against this bunch, he has been finding it tough to win over the last couple of months. He often needs things to fall his way but he should be too good for these. He could never get to grips with the leaders at Sandown on his last start where he travelled well and finished with a rattle. The stiff climb here should suit here. The former smart juvenile Cute Ass is favoured by race conditions but the lacks the benefit of a recent pipe-opener. His second in the Cornwallis was an excellent performance, considering that they went very close to breaking the track record. Peace Offering was badly hampered in that Sandown event where Hoh Mike finished third although he was retreating at the time. Those three appear to be the main protagonists but Prior Warning could reward those seeking some value. The five furlongs was on the sharp last time over the course but he finished with a real rattle and could grab a place given his running style. Hoh Mike is the class act here and can land it.
