In depth

Verdict

Royal Musketeer won this last year from 3lb higher so shouldn't be dismissed despite moderate subsequent form. Priscilla's Wish completed a Yarmouth five-timer last summer and reappeared with a shock victory at Chelmsford before a narrow defeat back there last month. She looks certain to get into contention but the drying ground will suit GLOBAL ESTEEM, who made a very encouraging reappearance over Ascot's straight mile when only caught a furlong out after taking the lead at the 2f pole. Granary Queen was beaten a short-head by Lord Rapscallion at Chelmsford in December but has enough of a pull in the weights to turn the tables. Brasil Power was well supported when making a winning debut for George Boughey at Wolverhampton.
