Stanley George is preferred to Postsprofit and Sister Maria. Michael Jarvis' charge is making a seasonal reappearance but has crucially been handicapped on the basis of a couple of moderate efforts as a juvenile. Betting in this manner is always a risky strategy but the yard is in form and Phillip Robinson replaces Matthew Henry in the plate. Postsprofit ran in a Wolverhampton race that looked good by the track's standards. A switch to a positive style of riding almost allowed him to pinch it and similar tactics should work well here. Sister Maria ran well in desperate ground on debut last season but has questions to answer after two expensive losses since. Calculating is tried on this surface for the first time having ran exclusively on fast ground. Mystery River is another with proven form with cut in the ground and should give punters a run for their money. Laish Ya Hajar failed to land a monster punt at Goodwood on his latest outing and makes a transition to racing in handicaps. Our Herbie should have come on for his first outing and is watched in the market. Giant Slalom is similarly watched as he is a well named son of mudlark, Tomba. Stanley George has plenty of ticks in the right boxes and he is afforded the nomination.
