    Verdict

Alan Swinbank sent Lavetta here for a similar-class handicap in October and she battled on strongly to land the spoils for which she has a 5lb rise to contend with. SACRED ACT, who didn't reappear until September and won a Sandown handicap, started favourite for the Spring Mile Handicap at Doncaster last month but never threatened and can do better with that under his belt. He gets the vote though Timeless Art won here in October and though that was a Class 4 handicap he reappeared with another good run at Doncaster. Via Via, a winner here in October, has only been raised 4lb for his victory on Tapeta at Newcastle so has to be a threat while Next Stage didn't show his form at Salisbury in June and the lightly-raced son of Dubawi is expected to do well this season.
