In this 12 furlong event, we will side with Come What July ahead of Feed The Meter, Gurrun and Jackie Kiely. Come What July would be an appropriately-named winner on the first day of racing this year on the July course and, coming into this race seeking a straight hat-trick of wins, including once over course and distance, we reckon he can go well tonight. The in-foal Feed The Meter has been running very well of late, winning three times from four starts and she, of course, is respected, while Gurrun is holding his form very well, having won three of his last five races, and he remains competitively weighted. Jackie Kiely has claims based on last summer's form, and he looked to be coming to hand last time, so grant him respect too. Dovedale made late headway in a Ladies' race last time and could improve again, while Ellina won at around this time last year and is now well-weighted if recapturing her form. Party Ploy is another to be very well weighted if back to his best of last summer, while German winner, Pespita, might go well based on a reasonable run last time. Overall, though, we will side with Come What July.
