David Simcock's Bushman has shown a decent level of form in recent starts having won here prior to finding just one too good in a Listed race at Haydock last time and he has to be considered but a better bet looks to be RIO DE LA PLATA, who gets the vote ahead of Stotsfold. Walter Swinburn's colt has been running consistently well of late including in similar grade to today but he may struggle to give weight to the selection so may have to settle for minor honours. John Dunlop's Palavicini is held by Stotsfold on running at Goodwood last month and of more interest may be Brian Meehan's Charlie Farnsbarns, who was good value for his win at Newbury last time. Sir Michael Stoute's Glass Harmonium has a hefty pull at the weights with Brian Meehan's runner on Goodwood form and he has to be respected at the weights. Luca Cumani's Hebridean has his first start on the flat since the Champion Stakes last term but has been running well over hurdles since then and he is another to consider but a safer option seems to be Rio de La Plata. Saeed Bin Suroor's colt found just Sir Michael Stoute's Confront too good in a Group 3 here earlier in the month and he has an obvious chance of going one better today.
