Treculiar is on a roll at present and can complete a hat-trick at the expense of Trust Rule and Contraband. The latter only seems to appear when the Autumn leaves start to fall and once again did not see the track until the Ebor at York. A promising fifth, he will have plenty of supporters and should not be ruled out for place purposes, with the drop back in trip likely to be in his favour. Trust Rule was a well beaten favourite at Ascot, having apparently been let in lightly after his earlier York success. If that was just a blip, then he too can be in the shake-up. However, Treculiar is in such good form that he has to be the selection. Gerard Butler's charge is a relentless galloper and although he too faces a drop in trip, a strong gallop will play into his hands, and off his current mark, the son of Trempolino will take some stopping.
