Guishan completed a double on soft ground last month but has no problems handling a quicker surface and has to be on the shortlist despite racing from her highest ever mark. Silver Rainbow is progressive and though up 6lb for a narrow victory in a lower class handicap last time she looked to have something up her sleeve. Calypso Choir was highly tried after her debut success last summer and looked ready to win again soon when narrowly beaten at Goodwood last month. Richard Fahey runs the lightly-raced Mustique, who was slightly disappointing at Thirsk last time, and DAVID'S DUCHESS, who only had two rivals to beat at Hamilton. The latter has taken her time to come to hand but her close fourth behind stable companion Latham in the Super Sprint at Newbury a year ago suggests she's very well handicapped for this and gets the nod.
