DORDOGNE was a real eyecatcher when winning like a good horse in-the-making at Goodwood on debut and is taken to follow-up. The Mark Johnston-trained juveniles have been going well and this Singspiel colt had four lengths to spare over a couple of previously-placed opponents, adding some weight to the form and he will be tough to beat. There are unexposed runners taking him on here though, including ready 7f winner at this track, Loving Spirit, who is very much respected, and Pivotman, who was another debut winner for Amanda Perrett at Salisbury, although he will surely have to improve on that. The penny dropped with Mantoba at Newbury last time but he will need to find more to repeat the dose.
