In an interesting but tricky fillies' maiden contest, Laureldean Gale is selected ahead of Jennie Jerome, Kashoof and Tudor Court. Being a 130,000 guineas daughter of Pivotal, Jennie Jerome looks interesting here and, with her stable now running into a bit of form, she can go well, while Kashoof is a beautifully bred daughter of Green Desert and hails from the in-form John Dunlop stable. Peter Chapple-Hyam's Laureldean Gale cost 325,000 dollars and is also of plenty of interest, while Politeia cost 65,000 euros and is related to some good winners. The Barry Hills-trained Rockellio cost 110,000 euros and is also well-bred and of interest, and Mick Channon's Top Vision, who was bred by Kevin Keegan and his wife Jean, is another that adds interest to the contest. Jennie Jerome's stable companion Sweet Kiss, also has a fair breeding, while Mark Johnston's 110,000 guineas purchase, Tudor Court, ran a race full of promise when third at Pontefract on her debut and, not lacking for racecourse experience, she looks to be a leading player in this fillies' event. Finally, Baraari, whose dam is a half-sister to the Derby winner Erhaab, and William Jarvis's 22,000 guineas daughter of Daylami, Brave Mave, are also worth a mention but, for the selection, we will stick with Laureldean Gale.
