        Verdict

        Cosmic Desert is not really bred for this trip and may do better dropped to a mile. Previous winners New London and ALDOUS HUXLEY (NAP) also wear the all-blue of Godolphin, carried to victory in the last three years. All of those were trained by Charlie Appleby but the Gosden's could have a nice prospect on their hands with the latter, who bolted up at Kempton last month. Mugader was only third when favourite at Wolverhampton in February but can only improve and his yard also have an interesting newcomer in Byker. Missed The Cut is another to note for future reference.
